Background

Right now, we are recruiting for a highly adept Graphic Designer with extensive design experience across the board to become part of our Studio Team at our London HQ. You will be working directly with our Art Director and Head of Content, producing material for in app and outgoing comms (social, marketing, CRM).

We’re looking for a highly motivated and creative person to help us produce Depop’s engaging content and work across all teams to communicate everything ‘Depop’. This role is all about keeping your finger on the pulse - being aware of current trends inside and outside of the app is key when building promotion and brand awareness. Communication is also big part of this position, so as a designer you must feel confident enough to contribute to the entire creative process across all areas. Above all, you must be excited by making an impact towards Depop’s mission: going global.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the creative direction of campaigns across our social media, content efforts and marketing.
  • Work collaboratively within the team to create and develop new, on-brand ideas and drive them from concept through to delivery
  • Offer input and communicate design decisions in to creative meetings with teams and clients
  • Produce attractive and effective designs across multiple platforms, from print and digital to social
  • Produce animated material for social and campaigns
  • Helping produce content for all CRM material, for example Email.
  • Support junior creatives through processes with a motivational and enthusiastic approach, whilst also delegating tasks across the team to ensure the most successful execution of projects

Requirements

  • Significant experience working in industry - preferably in-house or agency environment, with an outstanding digital portfolio demonstrating your design and layout abilities.
  • Excellent typography skills, creative mind and a sharp eye; layout and art direction will be needed to help the team produce the best work possible for in-app & outgoing comms across the business.
  • Strong understanding of assessing the content landscape for a brand
  • The ability to see projects through from inception to production
  • Consistency regardless of project size
  • A good understanding of creating motion graphics, animated gifs and videos that excite and inspire our creative community.
  • Knowledge of print layout and production.
  • Strong communication skills and a highly developed design vocabulary
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
  • Good organisational skills that support the rest of the team
  • Has an understanding of Depop and our community
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in fashion and youth culture


Softwares

This role requires you to have expert working knowledge in the following;

  • InDesign
  • Illustrator
  • Photoshop
  • After Effects and or Premiere Pro
  • Sketch
