Curation Lead


Depop is the shopping community where the world’s creatives come to buy, sell, discover and explore the most inspiring and unique items. Together our team is building the world's most social shopping platform, connecting creative communities around the world.

Our HQ is based in London and we have spaces in Milan, NYC and LA. Our Content/Editorial team is a new function with big ambitions to develop and release inspiring content for our community across platforms and topics. Reporting into the Head of Content, our Curation Lead will ensure a high level of quality on the curated areas within our marketplace, ensuring the most unique and inspiring items are surfaced to our community each day.


  • Ensure a high level of quality on our explore page (in app) section across all geographies (UK, IT and US)
  • Lead a team of freelance curators effectively, developing and implementing standards across our ‘Poppers’ and ensuring adequate resource based on growing needs
  • Report on and ensure our curation targets are being reached, pushing for engagement and quality on the explore page for our sizeable community
  • Develop and regularly update our rules and guidelines (with appropriate input from Brand and Marketplace teams) around what should be exposed and promoted in the explore page
  • Devise creative ideas of how to populate the explore page to make it more effective and engaging
  • Work with the head of Content and product teams to design a new editorial plan for the curated sections in the app and support on the development of features and sections
  • Support on the development of internal tools and technologies to make the curation process more efficient and effective
  • Provide insight to the rest of the business around important trends


  • Significant experience and knowledge of Fashion culture, trends and communities, with a degree in Fashion preferable
  • Excellent eye for style, and able to understand and digest the perspectives and visions of other exceptional creatives
  • Experience in creating content in any form with sharp attention to detail
  • Able to plan and coordinate operations with high levels empathy and able to work with other creatives to produce the best possible results
  • Excellent organisational skills, reliability and efficiency
  • Regular weekend work will be required to ensure quality at our peak times remains strong
