The Role

As our community continues to grow, we’re growing our Content and Editorial Team too. Right now we're looking for a Social Media Assistant to build and maintain our Instagram platform. The primary purpose of this role is to schedule and create ad hoc content in partnership with Brand, selecting inspiring content to promote and working to engage with our community and fans across our Instagram. A creative collaborator, sharp planner and swift executor, you will manage workload, keep contributors for social on schedule and be the gatekeeper of Depop’s tone of voice throughout all social comms.

Requirements

  • Ownership of Instagram content creation, liaising with the digital content creator and team members
  • Ensure that the Instagram page is generating buzz and excitement, which drives new visitors to the site and ensures the brand is top of mind in new and existing sellers
  • Working with curation and community with on-borders and unique sellers to promote on the page.
  • Curating sellers via the app and social for video content, campaigns or feed
  • Managing the social schedules to reflect company's initiatives IE: event flyers, CRM campaigns, marketing content, video content cross country
  • Scheduling posts for 7 days a week
  • Coordinating Instagram stories take over and initiatives
  • Work with Copywriters on tone of voice and language for social campaigns and assets
  • Execution of all social media activities on Instagram - sharing, engaging, liking, increasing social reach.
  • Conduct competitive analysis studies on direct competitors and keeping up to date with social media trends.
  • Working with other teams to collect social media content for instagram
  • Working with Creative editor producing approved content that is consistent with the brand message
  • Working with Support on macro responses and Digital Marketing on content highlights
  • Assisting and contributing with Social Lead on insight reports and KPI reporting.

Requirements

  • Experience working within a social media team or retail environment
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Keen interest in Social Media and understanding of core marketing principles
  • Great Photography skills
  • Photoshop skills highly desirable
  • Highly organized with a can-do attitude and the ability to adapt in fast paced situations
  • Good communication skills
  • Photoshop and Excel skills
  • Great attention to detail and trends

Desirable

  • Ideally an avid Depop user
  • Experience running a blog or vlog channel
  • Obsessed with where social meets fashion
