As we scale our wider team to support the growing needs of our community, we’re on the hunt for an HR assistant to report into our People Manager and support our most important asset, our people. You’re either looking for your first step into the world of HR or have been working as an administrator, you’re not afraid of a challenge, are keen to learn and are a fan of depop.


  • Manage all HR administration including creating offer letters, contracts, change letters and checking relevant employee documentation
  • Building employee profiles on our HR system (Bob!) and owning employee data, making sure our files are always up to date
  • You will support on managing the probationary process, chasing line managers and following up with written confirmation to employees
  • You will learn our HR policies, supporting employees in understanding key processes and answering general queries in our HR inbox
  • Support the People Manager on the rolling out of learning and development initiatives across the company as required
  • Support our Culture Lead with general office duties as required, including helping to set up events and surprises for our people
  • Supporting in communications across the business and being an active part of our culture, helping make depop an exceptional place to work


  • Strong interest in HR with a passion for people and an organised, adaptable and flexible approach. You like making lists and like ticking things off them even more
  • Strong interpersonal skills, you will be enthusiastic, willing to learn and maintain a professional manner even in challenging circumstances
  • You have strong attention to detail, are conscientious about your work and are committed to getting the job done
  • You have a mature approach combined with courtesy and integrity, and maintain discretion at all times even in a fun and friendly environment
  • Strong written skills, administrative skills and computer literacy
