User Acquisition Specialist

To strengthen our Growth team, we’re looking for a User Acquisition Specialist to create, manage and optimise User Acquisition campaigns for Depop. Reporting to the User Acquisition Manager, you will accelerate our rapidly growing community by driving the day to day execution and optimisation of paid marketing. This person will work to bring our activity from our agency back in-house and ensure excellent execution of the paid marketing plans.

With over 16M items available for sale and close to 1M unique sellers in the last 12 months we are already a clear market leader in this exciting space. We have a prime position in the UK where we estimate 1 in 3 Gen Z/Millennials are registered. We are experiencing rapid growth (300% over two years) in the US; recently entering the top 25 shopping apps by DAU (the only European player to do so). And we’re just getting started.

Responsibilities

  • Daily creation, management and optimisation user acquisition campaigns across all digital media channels
  • Optimise budget and performance goals
  • Reporting across all paid media campaigns
  • Analyse campaign results to identify improvements
  • Continually test Ad formats, creative, and copy
  • Collaborate with brand marketing and content teams on strategic digital campaigns and creative assets

Requirements

  • Strong paid social platforms knowledge (Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter)
  • Experience with Google Adwords (UAC, Search, Video, Display)
  • Passionate about Performance marketing and curious about new strategies to build an engaged audience digitally
  • Strong analytical capabilities and an Excel super-user
  • Quantitative mindset and love of data
  • Proactive, take-charge attitude and demonstrated a capacity for independent initiative
  • Great team player and positive thinking
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships and collaboration between teams


Desirable

  • App User Acquisition experience
  • Affinity for Depop and the streetwear/vintage/clothing world
  • Insight into Millennial and Gen Z behaviours and attitudes
  • Digital media experience, either client-side or agency
