To support us on our journey we’re now on the hunt for a Head of Content (Executive Editor) to lead our editorial efforts across multiple platforms. Reporting into the Founder (who is also our Creative Director) you will work on a series of exciting projects to extend the reach and impact of our editorial voice and the experience of Depop for our community and beyond. You will lead the charge in creating new, innovative and engaging ways for Depop to reach our goal of empowering, connecting and inspiring creatives globally.


Responsibilities

  • Create an innovative editorial strategy and plan for a series of new products and channels in line with our vision and goals
  • Build and manage a full editorial team of people (internal and external) across multiple fields, from music to fashion, photography and video
  • Developing content from concept to production having full oversight and ownership of the process, delivering engaging content across multiple platforms
  • Work closely with the brand and marketing teams to ensure relevant content can be used for campaigns and relevant projects
  • Spending time with users and being an active member of the community in order to understand their aspirations to translate and represent them into our content
  • Developing relevant relationships in the creative sphere to ensure Depop’s network grows stronger and we become more credible in the fashion and music worlds

Requirements

  • Significant experience in leading and building editorial teams in fashion over a number of years
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and proactive approach, comfortable having responsibilities across multiple levels and passionate about the start-up environment
  • Deep knowledge and passion for fashion, music, design and general culture, you need to be on top of what’s coming up, what’s going out and where we should be focusing
  • You’ll have a strong network in these relevant circles and have built a reputation as an innovate Executive Editor or Head of Content
  • Able to understand relevant trends and translate these into innovative editorial
  • Good organisational skills, reliable and efficient
  • Able to inspire and mentor our existing creative talent
