International Expansion Manager


Depop is the social mobile marketplace for the next generation. It is a platform catering to how the next generation shops, perceives brands, uses technology and seeks community. Buying and selling on depop is a social affair. We focus on individual sellers allowing them to create their own unique profiles, through which they become brands on their own. Our community of 10M are our most vocal supporters and with our dedicated ambassador programmes also the most important lever behind our sustained growth.

We have recently raised Series B of $20M and are positioned for strong global growth. We’re therefore on the hunt for a strong candidate to work closely with senior leadership on our international expansion plans. The candidate will help with the target market identification, understanding of local nuances and development of a winning go-to-market strategy. We are looking for an analytically strong go-getter who will be passionate about bringing depop’s mission to the new countries!


  • Drives the decision about to which markets depop should expand and how
  • Conducts desktop research, expert interviews and surveys and performs analysis to understand each relevant market: Market size, growth potential, competitive landscape, customers segments & behaviours etc.
  • Becomes familiar with each relevant markets’ nuances and develops go-to-market strategy, including channels to market, team set up and investment needs
  • Executes on the developed implementation plan for each relevant market, becoming integral part of the cross-functional ‘launch team’
  • Helps identify, test, and execute new scalable growth initiatives across different channels (online and offline)


What You’ll Bring

  • You have a track record as a high-performer in a top-tier strategy consultancy, investment bank or e-commerce company
  • You have experience working on international expansion, go-to-market strategy or similar type of work
  • You thrive in project management types of roles and are a natural at getting cross-functional teams working well together
  • You love fast-paced environments, troubleshooting issues in real-time and overseeing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Your commercial and analytical mindset is paired up with strong bias to action
  • You have clear and structured communication skills and your decisions are always supported by data
  • You are passionate about fashion, music, design or just a general culture, but above all, community-driven businesses
