Product Analyst

We are looking for someone with with a curious and inquisitiveness mind to join our Product team as an Analyst, and to lead our efforts in unearthing actionable insights so that we can identify, and deliver on, opportunities to improve the user experience.


  • Perform analysis of user behaviour so that we can understand how Depop is used and to help us make better decisions
  • Monitor key metrics and perform regular product performance analysis
  • We want you to see around corners and ask the “what if?” and “why?” questions amongst the team, coming up with the ideas and having the freedom to test them
  • Shout about the insights you’ve learned and tell the wider team (ideally by using scalable techniques)
  • Identify additional data needed for analysis and work with the Product Managers to prioritise data needs
  • Support qualitative research by conducting user surveys when needed
  • Proactively make suggestions for improving the tools and processes we use
  • Develop an understanding of the broader competitive landscape and stay on top of the latest competitive developments


  • Love understanding the “why?” behind things and applying their curiosity, inquisitiveness and problem solving skills to build understanding
  • Have experience in performing product analysis, preferably in a mobile-first business
  • Be passionate about wanting to help improve the Depop user experience
  • Be self motivated and organised, with experience of juggling multiple priorities at the same time
  • Be flexible in their approach and willing to learn
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly
  • Be proficient in SQL and have experience of generating insights from large datasets
  • Have an understanding of statistics
  • Be familiar with the tools we use, such as MixPanel and Google Analytics (this is a bonus but not essential)
