People Partner (HR BP)

Our People team are pivotal to the Depop mission, and are focused on creating a supportive environment, where our people are enabled to have an impact on our mission and grow personally and professionally on their journey with us. Our People Partner will be embedded in our Marketing, Operations and Commercial departments, providing a wide-range of HR support to our line managers on the ground, and in partnership with the rest of the People function, designing and developing HR processes and experiences that enable and engage our people, and help drive Depop further on its mission to enable the next generation to transform fashion.

You are likely someone with a solid grounding in traditional HR, but you want the opportunity to elevate that agenda and focus on creating impact in a mission-driven company that truly cares about the employee experience, and is on an impressive scaling journey.


  • Partner with particular teams, maintaining a deep understanding of their remits and OKRs, supporting on decision making and delivering sensible advice and support to enable our teams.
  • Advise and support line managers on how to better lead, develop and help our people deliver their best work, whilst ensuring a great employee experience.
  • Own the employee life cycle and key People practices and processes within your departments such as probation, workforce planning, compensation, progression mapping, engagement survey action planning and exit interviews.
  • Manage and own ER cases within your departments, providing structure and guidance throughout every tricky situation, balancing the needs of the individual and the business.
  • Lead on different people projects every quarter that help scale our People offering and contribute to our overall People Strategy.
  • Reporting to our Senior People Partner, you will work closely together to empower our managers to lead autonomously, and continuously improve our offering across the entire People function.


  • Strong HR background, with extensive technical ER knowledge (CIPD, or equivalent knowledge of employment law and HR best practice).
  • Excellent relationship builder and communicator, with the ability to move between listening to, guiding and coaching others at all levels.
  • Ability to make quick, sound decisions based on your knowledge and judgment.
  • Solutions focused and a starter finisher, you always spot opportunities to simplify and improve processes to drive better results.
  • Experience of reviewing and assessing policies and processes and implementing tangible changes to deliver improvements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent eye for detail, highly organised with an ability to prioritise in a very busy environment.
