Trending on Depop: April

May 05, 2026

Spring 2026 has got everyone in the mood for expressive fashion. The sun is teasing us outside, festival season beckons and we’re ready to brighten up our closets, with April’s biggest trends championing movement and individuality. Across runways and real life, tactile fabrics, standout details and colors that have the power to lift our spirits, are all trending. The result is personal style that feels curated yet effortless.

The Coachella rule book

Each year, Coachella sets the tone for festival fashion and the 2026 edition has been no exception. While modern bohemia still reigns, celebrities and party-goers alike have worn looks that feel both nostalgic and refined. This year was less about costume and more about personal style. And there was still room for the humble band T-shirt, as long as it had Justin Bieber’s face on it! Here are our biggest takeaways.

Mind the Gap

Central Cee went back to basics in a classic Gap hoodie, except in typical rapper style, his was customized to read ‘CAP’ (his nickname) across the chest. With hoodies seen everywhere, the popularity of this staple looks set to continue, proving there’s always appetite for comfort and simplicity.

Full swing

Fringing added playful movement to just about everything at Coachella. From statement sparkles on lingerie looks by Kylie Jenner and Teyana Taylor, to more subtle trims on boots and bags, every step became a head-turning moment.

Craft core

Nothing says ‘summer of love’ quite like crochet, especially when worn from head to toe. Handcrafted, textural and breezy, it makes for a perfect festival outfit. Lisa kept it clean in a white crochet mini dress and elsewhere, crafted bralets were paired with cut-off denim.

Edikted

Festival goers brought their TikTok hauls out to play, courtesy of this Gen-Z-friendly brand. Matching sets, minis and sheer layers were reflective of Edikted’s West Coast aesthetic and were just right for partying in.

 Get waisted

Statement belts added a western meets Y2K energy to festival looks. Slayyyter buckled up over hot pants while FKA Twigs opted for double studs. But it was chain and concho belts that went with it all, from flowy skirts to baggy jeans.

Racy lace

The world went wild for Sabrina Carpenter and Madonna’s ‘Like A Prayer’ duet and matching lace corsets. Elsewhere, asymmetric cuts and hems gave lace plenty of attitude. This mix of structure and softness follows on from Vivienne Westwood’s SS26 runway, where lace was both rebellious and refined.

 Balloon pants

Airy and voluminous balloon pants ranged from structured barrel-legs to full-blown parachute proportions. Having taken flight on the SS26 runways, this fun yet comfortable style will dominate summer. Take Zimmermann’s confident take on the style that channels the brand’s signature romanticism while being entirely wearable.

Tee off in style

As golf asserts its cool sport status, the dress codes associated with it are shifting too. Performance brands like Nike and Under Armour offer ergonomic styles for the putting green while heritage brands such as Ralph Lauren are busy updating traditional polos and tapered pants. On Depop, we’re seeing increasing demand for vintage-inspired golf wear. Search for classic pieces that can drive your style home.

The devil wears cerulean blue

Goodbye Barbie pink, hello The Devil Wears Prada blue. The much-anticipated sequel is putting the spotlight on this bright sky shade, which has also stood out on the SS26 runways, courtesy of Valentino, Chanel and Moschino. Cerulean makes us think of azure seas, leaning into the laidback ocean girl aesthetic, and equally lends itself to more polished styles. So, whether you reach for a preppy cable-knit sweater or a retro sneaker, it’s time to go blue.
