Trending on Depop: February's spring notes

Mar 04, 2026

New York Fashion Week and the Winter Olympics have helped to set the tone for early spring trends on Depop, driving demand for both preppy styles and performance-led dressing. As the sun promises to shine, we’re getting in the mood to shake up our closets with a douse of Americana as well as some sport-inspired fashion. Here’s our lowdown on the cultural moments, collaborations and categories shaping your new season look.

Nostalgia reigns at NYFW

Kicking off fashion month, NYFW featured some key collections from brands that are redefining the collegiate aesthetic. Both big designers and newer voices have reworked classic codes in ways you can wear now.

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren’s show spotlighted oversized knitwear and confident tailoring. Tweed, dark florals and leopard print lent contrast to layered looks alongside finishing touches such as faux fur trims and chain belts. A directional take on this stalwart’s polished staples.

Coach

Already a firm favorite on Depop for its Y2K-era bags, Coach’s nostalgia trip continues this season. Its collection tapped into varsity style through football-inspired jerseys, plaid skirts and spliced blazers, all with ’70s-leaning cuts and a muted color palette.

Tory Burch

Tory Burch introduced a more office-leaning take on the preppy trend via popped-collar trenches, tonal knits and fluid corduroy pants as well as some seriously textured overcoats. The mood was both confident and witty.

Sandy Liang

Sandy Liang’s show lent into her signature take on girlhood thanks to its playful balance of prim shapes and delicate detailing. Think school uniforms and gym kits topped off with ribbons, bows and furry shoes. The result felt both romantic and distinctly modern.

NikeSKIMS goes viral

NikeSKIMS blends the sports giant’s performance prowess with Kim Kardashian’s body-sculpting sensibilities. For spring, this new collaborative brand borrows from ballet and the clear winner is the Rift Satin - a graceful ballet flat finished with a tabi-style toe that has pirouetted into all of our feeds.

Winter Olympics Fever

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games turned heads as much for its athletic feats as for its fashion statements. With Ralph Lauren dressing Team USA, Lululemon partnering with Canada, Emporio Armani backing Italy and Moncler repping for Brazil, official uniforms took national style to new heights. Now shoppers are turning to these sport-inspired categories.

Hockey jerseys

First came the hit ice hockey TV drama Heated Rivalry and now the Winter Olympics has pushed the sport into overdrive. You don’t have to be hitting the rink to hunt down some boxy, logo-heavy jerseys on Depop.

Snow gear

Thanks to a wave of brand collaborations and Winter Olympics-inspired drops from the likes of J.Crew, Lacoste and Oakley, ski and snowboarding gear is everywhere. So don’t keep those technical pieces and alpine styles for the slopes alone.

Vintage Olympic merch

Show your team spirit by finding some vintage Olympics pieces on Depop. From retro team jackets to archival sweatshirts and all kinds of memorabilia, heritage styles never date.
