The garments (jacket and bottoms) can be worn both ways, such as the more minimalist side from the outside-in, depending on your mood. Critics have notably said over the years that the fall 1998 collection is one of the more purist collections Kawakubo has crafted, as it displays the playful and conceptual aspect of deformation, the key ingredient in COMME des GARCONS.
