1940s NATIVE AMERICAN Solid Silver & Turquoise Belt Buckle With New Hardware | This belt buckle is a charming early Southwestern piece with a rectangular form and balanced silverwork. The buckle features a center opening, framed on each long side by three turquoise cabochons. Decorative stampwork adds character throughout the design, including outward-pointing arrows in each corner. The back is stamped SOLID SILVER HAND MADE BY INDIANS, a period mark often seen on older Native-made silver pieces. Designed to accommodate belts up to 1.125 inches wide, this buckle is a collectible accessory with historic appeal. Condition Note: this piece came to me without any hardware. I brought it to a store in Old Town Scottsdale which specializes in Native American jewelry and employs two Navajo silversmiths to perform repairs. One of them determined that this piece was originally a belt buckle and added the appropriate hardware. #SilverBeltBuckle #TurquoiseJewelry #VintageNative #CestLaBries
