Antique Chronos G pocket watch style cigarette lighter, made in Austria, designed by Paul Grünwald c. 1913. Shaped to fit a vest pocket. Pressing the winding crown stem trips the gear mechanism, flipping the spring-loaded lid open and turning the flint wheel to light the petrol wick. Details: Markings: "MADE IN AUSTRIA" and "CHRONOS G" on the internal housing plates. Materials: Chrome/nickel-plated brass, round pocket watch shape with top-loop bow. Condition: Good for its 100+ years. Lid snaps open and fits securely, gears turn smoothly. Light plating wear and minor scratches (see photos). Needs repair: The fill screw housing needs to be re-soldered. The bottom fill screw threads into a small tube inside the lighter, and that tube is loose. Otherwise fully functional. Untested with fuel; needs a fresh flint and lighter fluid.
