People typically do that as that clear strap makes the shoe very uncomfortable/impractical to wear. Appears to have been worn once or twice but there are very light scratches throughout which are barely noticeable. As this shoe is almost 10 years old, please understand normal maintenance usually includes resoling the shoe, retouching color, replacing heel taps, replacing/regluing/reattaching embellishment, and regluing lifted insoles. If you're not comfortable doing such maintaince at a shoe cobbler, please do not purchase.
