classic off white aran wool sweater in the traditional cable knit style. very thick and knit tightly, the wool seems to have been well cared for. callout on the left sleeve, specifically a little hole. could be patched up with some embroidery thread, or sewn up/properly repaired fairly easily since there is no unraveling, the knit pattern is still holding tight enough. brand is marked SSSSSSSSSSS which is weird.
