It features purple and yellow thistles with their green leaves (the Scottish National Emblem) on a pure white ground with gold gilded accents on the handle and base of the cup. The cup is made in the Montrose fluted style with scalloped-edge and vertical flutes, famously produced by Royal Albert starting in 1962 and continuing through the mid-century era.
