The waist is elastic, the legs are wide from about the knee down and flow nicely when you walk. This is very cute and fun to wear with the jacket. The jacket has lace sleeves and down the middle back, the rest is a material looks waterproof. The zipper that shows in front does not zip, only for looks, as are the side zipper pockets. There is nothing wrong with either one of these items, they can be sold together or separately. The lace on the jacket and pants do not match but it's not noticeable. It looks great with a red tube top or tank top.
