Original Amy Wentworth Cabot watercolor painting. Excellent condition. No watermarks or staining on photo. Lady slippers in a vase. From 1930s. The photo measures 11x12. The frame measures 17x18. Among the artists who purchased land from Charles Woodbury in the 1880s at Ogunquit, Maine, Amy Cabot was one of the artists who formed the Ogunquit Art Association in 1928, and who composed a strong artistic community that lasted into the 1940s. As a maiden lady, she was part of group local people dubbed "The Virginal Wayfarers," because they sported "long skirts, high collared blouses and wide-brimmed straw hats or in later years, print shirt-waist dresses and solid high-top laced up shoes."
