Vintage 1971 Springbok Circular Nepalese Mandala 500 Piece Complete Puzzle The jeweled mandala was purchased by the Newark Museum in 1959. Architectural ornament, copper over wood core, decorated with gilt filigree and jewels, Nepal, 18th century, 35" diameter. Rare for its rich, jeweled decoration. Hundreds of roughly cut tur-quoises, corals, tourmalines, zircons, beryls, amethysts, rubies, and pearls are arranged into flowers, arabesques, gateways and geometric forms, outlined in delicately turned metal filigree. Each of the figures is carved from clear quartz, some with red color added. This puzzle was absolutely thrilling to put together. All the pieces are here and in great shape, none are broken or peeling. Springbok is known for their quality and this one is no exception. #Vintage
