Rare Art Tee Soviet Union Poster Art Rage Against The Machine Style Grail Size Medium 21.5” Pit to Pit 26” Length Signs of wear hole, paint stains, minor bleach stain, cut tag In 1989 the Soviet government offered an opportunity to U.S. Citizens-a chanceto view contemporary Soviet life through the loan of 75 posters. They weredisplayed at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art and dealt with politicalthemes, social issues and the arts in the period between Perestroika toGlasnost. The original show was organized by members of AIGA San Diego chapter and supported by a grant from the NationalEndowment of the Arts. The show went on to other U.S. locations as part of atraveling exhibition sponsored by the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
