50s Vintage Velvet Dress Young Modes by Claudia Young Bust- 32" Underbust- 27" Waist- 25" Shoulders- 16.5" Hip- up to 40" Sleeves- Opening 5.5", Length 13.5" Length- 37" Sweep- 39" Beautiful and dramatic black dress by Claudia Young. Fitted velvet bodice with elegant boat neckline and low V back. 3/4 length fitted sleeves. Draped, structured bow at bottom portion of skirt. Quite heavy fabric with a textured, canvas feel. Due to weight the seams are very slightly exposed at top of bow, could be easily fixed. Also a bit of stress has been put on the seams at top of shoulders, coming very slightly undone. Some minor crushing underneath bust area that I have highlighted to make visible- it is more subtle in person. Skirt is lined in a stiff felt. Bodice is unlined with exposed pinked seams.
