Every record is visually graded under bright light. Grading is subjective and I try to be conservative. I will not sell a record that I think grades less than VG. I grade mostly based on the Goldmine system. M-Mint – New, Sealed NM – Near Mint – Zero scratches or Scuffs, Dark shiny vinyl VG+ minimal scratches or scuffs, overall nice-looking vinyl. VG more light scratches or scuffs, but nothing that can be felt by lightly rubbing a finger over it. If I can rub my finger over it and feel a scratch, that record goes in the trash or set aside for play a test.
