1963 Snowy Mountains Wallet - The Snowy Mountains Scheme, in New South Wales is recognised as an engineering and construction marvel which brought thousands of migrants to Australia. The Scheme took 25 years to build and when it was completed in 1974, seven power stations, 16 dams and 225 kilometres of tunnels, pipelines and aqueducts had been constructed.
