PINK + PURPLE + GREY ABSTRACT JAPANESE KIMONO MICHIYUKI COAT AUTHENTIC VINTAGE This is an authentic Japanese vintage kimono coat called a michiyuki (similar to a haori) in very good condition, with a subdued colour pattern consisting of pink, purple, greyish. and brownish Earth tones. Michiyuki, which Japanese characters literally translate as ‘travelling’ is a coat worn over the top of a kimono for both protection of the kimono and warmth, similar to a Western windbreaker. This was acquired from a Japanese family estate sale. It looks like it has been in storage for many years and may contain some age related abnormalities which are normal with fabric.
